Once an individual has completed all of their schooling, they will need to take a licensure exam, after leaving medical school.

After completing medical school, then an individual will need to receive some type of licensure, prior to being able to complete a residency at either a clinic or hospital. The residency will need to be conducted for a period of three years. During this residency period, an individual will work underneath a trained medical practitioner.

While doing a three year residency, an individual can choose to enter into several subspecialties, within the health field.
