All Hydro Led Light Advantages

By Jayne Rutledge

When it comes to indoor growing, hydro led light has many advantages, compared to other similar devices. This technology of high output light emitting diodes uses less energy, and simulates natural sunlight. Natural sunlight is needed for successful growth of all plants, including food plants, flowers and all other plants that use the process of photosynthesis for their growth.

This artificial light source is designed to simulate natural sunlight needed for photosynthesis. It can be used to stimulate seeding, to provide additional sun in areas where there is no enough natural sunlight, or the weather condition don't allow successful growing. It is also suitable for supplying artificial sunlight needed for indoor growing.

Indoor growing demands special conditions. For example, it is necessary to provide periods with and without light, to simulate natural day and night cycle. Different wavelengths produce different colors. It is well known that some colors are better for some types of plants. Blue spectrum is very good when it comes to vegetables, and red one is better for growing fruits.

LED lights may be combined to provide the exact spectrum needed for fulfilling particular requirements. Producing only the desired wavelengths, lights spend less energy, and lower the expenses. Additionally, this also means they don't generate too much heat. Excessive heat might be a great problem sometimes, and plants can be damaged by it.

Although led panels are available in all shapes and sizes, these lights are actually quite small. Thanks to that, they can be used in very small spaces. There are numerous manufacturers today, and their prices depend on the quality, mainly. More expensive devices usually come with warranty, and they have better durability and higher level of performance.

The main downside is the price, initial costs for installing LEDs are considerably higher, comparing to other similar sources. Another thing to consider is that they require controlled temperature conditions. If overheated, LEDs can be damaged and they can burn. On the other hand, growing plants indoor also requires controlled temperature. Later on, thanks to lower energy consumption, these expenses are lowered.

Some LED lights emit a full spectrum, and others target specific colors. Different combinations are also available. This means your final choice should depend primarily on your selected indoor growing plants. The best results are achieved using lights designed to emit specific spectrum, tailored to satisfy the needs of the plants being cultivated.

Using different combinations, you will be able to mimic certain natural outdoor growing conditions very successfully. For example, using different wavelengths, you can mimic spring weather conditions to improve seeding. This is achieved using wavelengths in combination with temperature and the intensity of your lamps.

Hydro led light is particularly designed for growing hydroponic plants. This specific type of cultivating plants without soil is quite successful. Instead of using soil, they are placed in mineral nutrients solution, in water, with or without using gravel, clay or some other inert medium. Most terrestrial plants can be grown this way, and it is especially interesting for growing some sorts of flowers, for example.
